Chief Medical Officer

Andy Cruz is a native Texan who was trained at Harvard Medical School's Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospital where he has received teaching awards from both medical students and residents. He is passionate about increasing mental healthcare access and has spent his career obsessing about this mission. He has served as a medical director for a low-barrier substance use clinic and an emergency room attending at Massachusetts General Hospital, a psychiatrist-in-charge at McLean Hospital and a medical director at Headway. He believes that Guidelight Health will play a transformative role in remedying the current mental healthcare crisis and looks forward to offering world-class clinical programming to our clients. In his spare time, he enjoys playing Rachmaninoff, traveling, and spending time with his husband and rescue dog.

Tesha serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Guidelight Health. She has over 20 years of healthcare leadership experience with her career starting in the early 2000’s as an APRN providing primary care to her local communities. Tesha is excited to bring a clinical background with a focus on creating mission-oriented services to patients with mental health disorders. Tesha has held various leaderships roles in a variety of clinical services. More recently, she has served as the national Chief Operating Officer for Amsurg which provides management services to over 250+ ambulatory surgery centers in 36 states. Prior to, she led primary care clinic operations for the state of Florida as the Chief Operating Officer at Optum. She also managed strategic planning for over 400 multispecialty practices for BayCare Medical Group which is part of a 14-hospital health system. There she assisted in building their clinically integrated network and their patient center medical home model which looked at providing holistic care to the patient. This meant looking at the entire patient and their needs of providing treatment not only for their physical disease, but mental health as well. Tesha is excited to take her years of experiences in healthcare to create a differentiated model of care for patients in their mental health journey. The goal of Guidelight Health is to focus on providing superior clinical quality and group therapy curriculum supported by evidenced based modalities that help patients manage and live their healthiest life. Tesha earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Florida as well as a Master of Science and a Doctorate from the University of Florida School of Nursing. Tesha resides in Florida with her husband and 2 children.

Jordan Cox

Chief Growth & Strategy Officer

Jordan serves as the Chief Growth & Strategy Officer for Guidelight Health. He previously worked at SCA Health, part of Optum, in a number of roles over the last 9 years. Most recently he was Group Vice President leading operations and strategy in 8 states. Prior to SCA Health, he worked at Henry Ford Health where his last role was Director of Strategic Business Development & Real Estate. Jordan earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Carolina, an MBA from The Citadel and a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University. He currently volunteers supporting refugees through the Welcome Corps Program.

Collaboration is built into the foundation of our programs through multiple points of clinician engagement and regular progress reports pushed to provider practices. This creates opportunities for input in the individualized treatment plan. Collaborative discharge planning is a highlight of this and ensures a successful step down in care that should keep the patient progressing.

Guidelight recognizes that outcomes are patients’ lives and we treat them accordingly. We have engaged one of the top universities in the country to help us study our outcomes and learn from them as an organization.
