Hear More About What Makes
Our Care Different

“One of my clients started IOP yesterday and called me this morning to say he absolutely loves it.”

Nina Brathwaite

Program Manager, Anschutz's Hospital Follow-Up Program

“As a referring clinician, I’ve never had such a positive experience with a treatment program. From the initial referral call to the client’s discharge, the entire process was exceptional—both for me and for my client, who had never participated in any form of treatment before. I would recommend this program without hesitation to anyone considering IOP or PHP services.”

FAQ

What is Guidelight?

Guidelight bridges the gap between inpatient and outpatient by allowing people to conveniently access transformative mental healthcare while continuing to meet obligations and do the things they value. By bringing a sophisticated, evidence-based clinical model of PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program) and IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) programs, Guidelight is increasing access to care in communities across the country through in-person clinics and virtual treatment options.

What are the steps for referring someone to Guidelight?

If you are ready to schedule a clinical evaluation for your client, please click here.

If you would like more information or to speak with a member of our team, please complete the form on this page, and a member of our intake team will be in touch the same day the referral is received.

The intake team will then:

  1. Facilitate a clinical evaluation with your client
  2. Run a verification of benefits to determine coverage for the client
  3. Recommend level of care placement and program options
  4. Extend an admission date and ensure a warm handoff to the program

How long does the process usually take?

As a referring provider, you can schedule a virtual clinical evaluation for your client if they are ready with a master’s level clinician by clicking here.

Scheduling is available 24 hours per day, and evaluations are available within 24 business hours of a referral. If your client is appropriate for our care, they can begin treatment the next business day.

Will I get information about how my client is doing after a referral?

We know that regular communication leads to better outcomes, so we designed our Structural Collaborative Care model to ensure referring providers get the level of clinical communication they need including:

  • When your client admits to Guidelight
  • A progress report halfway through treatment
  • Opportunity to join a discharge planning session

What can my client expect?

Guidelight’s programs prioritize skills-based training, so that clients are equipped with practical tools to reintegrate into their daily lives. Our team of experts has training in evidence-based clinical modalities including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness and Expressive Therapy. Clients will participate in individual, group and family therapy with an interdisciplinary team of compassionate and highly skilled clinicians.

What is the typical length of stay?

Our average treatment duration is based on individual needs; however, our typical length of stay is 2 weeks for PHP (5 days per week, 5 hours a day) and 6 weeks for IOP (3 days a week, 3 hours a day).

Is medication management part of treatment?

Yes. We provide medication evaluation and management in both PHP and IOP programs with prescribers at every clinic.

What are your outcomes measures?

Every Guidelight client completes a comprehensive set of assessments at admission, every two weeks during treatment and at discharge. These assessments are administered through Blueprint, a digital outcomes tracking platform that supports ongoing evaluation and data-informed care and dynamic treatment if they are not improving as we’d expect.

To evaluate outcomes, Guidelight utilizes a suite of six validated clinical tools, including the GAD-7 (anxiety), PHQ-9 (depression), Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale, a distress tolerance scale, a DSM-5 Cross Cutting Measure and a quality of life assessment.
